It was from this place that the liberation of France from the Germans began.

* In 1364 AH / April 1945 AD, the session of the United Nations General Assembly on the question of Palestine began.

* Year 1364 AH / April 1945 AD: The execution of the Italian leader “Benito Mussolini” by firing squad, After his losing leadership of Italy in World War II.

* In 1365 AH / April 1946 AD the French evacuated Syria and ended the French mandate over it.
