Nahed Munir Al-Rayes was born in Gaza City on 14/10/1937. He received his primary and preparatory education at Imam Al-Shafi’i School, And the secondary stage in Palestine Secondary School, He chose the literary branch. In 1954, he participated with some of his colleagues in leading demonstrations demanding conscription and bearing arms. He continued to write in local newspapers: Holy Jihad and the Brigade.

After graduating from Palestine School in 1954, he joined the Faculty of Law – Cairo University. Together with his colleagues there, he contributed to the establishment of the General Union of Palestinian Students from the Palestinian Students Association, and at that stage he wrote his first booklet entitled “A Word in the Palestinian Entity”. He graduated from Cairo University in 1958.
