Abu al-Saud Effendi served as Grand Mufti of Astana for thirty years, the longest term of the position of Sheikh of Islam in the Ottoman Empire. Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent lived in it and supervised the laws enacted by the legal, This is what gives the study special importance.

The study aimed to review the biography of Abu Saud Effendi and to show the importance of his fatwas in making dangerous decisions in the Ottoman Empire.

The researcher has followed the extracts scattered in the various sources of history to achieve the goal of the research adopting the historical research methodology, and the descriptive approach, With analysis whenever appropriate.

The research came in: Boot A number of side headings dealt with: His name, birth, upbringing, occupations, sheikhdom, His eligibility for the fatwa, his attributes, Some of his fatwas – works – interpretation – death – Some of his poems are in Arabic.

In the hands of the book of the Mufti of Suleiman “Sheikh Al-Islam Abu Al-Saud Effendi”:

The sheikhdom of Islam and the Mufti of Astana (Istanbul) at the beginning of the Ottoman Empire were successively sixteen sheikhs, the last and longest serving of whom was “Abu Saud Effendi”, He served as Grand Mufti of Astana for thirty years – that is, until his death – a period that no one had preceded him or succeeded him.

It is not an ordinary period – as some may think – because he lived in Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent , one of the greatest sultans of the Ottoman Empire and the most legislative, until he was called legal, The sultans did not dispense with the opinion and fatwa of the sheikhs of Islam and the Mufti of Astana, Abu al-Saud therefore gained another importance, which was his supervision of the laws he enacted.

This study acquires a kind of importance, It sheds light on an aspect other than the political and military aspect, It is talking about one of the most prominent scholars in the Ottoman Empire from various aspects of his biography, And those who contributed – behind the scenes – to the adoption of political, legal and military decisions, This is what I aimed at in this study.

The sources of Mufti Suleiman’s book “Shaykh al-Islam Abu al-Saud Effendi” were brief in dealing with its translation, And she didn’t fulfill his right, However, one of the most important sources that have separated him a little from him is the scholar and historian who lived with the law and dated the scholars, Tashkbarizadeh.

R.C.Repp was a foreign reference whose author had the privilege of acquiring sources other than those used by the writer. He collected in his book opinions and information, many of which were not contained in the sources of the book, so he was credited with that, As well as his elaboration on the sixteen mufti of Astana (Istanbul) in his comprehensive book.

The research has adopted a historical research methodology, and the descriptive approach, With analysis whenever appropriate.

The book dealt with the translation of Abu Saud Effendi by reviewing the Ottoman Empire and its scholars under the title: Boot Then: His name, birth, upbringing, occupations, sheikhdom, His eligibility for the fatwa, his attributes, Some of his fatwas – works – interpretation – death – Some of his poems are in Arabic.
