The story revolves around a bitter experience experienced by thirteen-year-old Hammam, He is returning with his family from Jordan, where his father was studying. To Gaza , where his family lives. The trip was extraordinary, And full of surprises, difficulties, nostalgia and ideas. It was a unique experience for Hammam, I love her novel because of its realism and imagination, nostalgia and conscience, And thought and hopes.

The journey lasted eight days, During which Hammam witnessed the extent of his family’s attachment to returning to their homeland and place of residence. He witnessed the extent of the difficulties that hindered the way back, those difficulties imposed by Qatari laws that were harsh on the Arab neighbor, and a dialogue that mixed between realism and hopes took place in his mind, which constituted a starting point for him towards a better Arab homeland.
