* Year 658 AH / June 1260 AD: The citadel of Damascus falls to the Tatars after desperate resistance and heroic jihad, She was forced to surrender after the Tatars besieged her tightly and beat her with a catapult.

* In 1236 AH / March 1821 AD the declaration of the independence of Greece from the Ottoman Empire.

* Year 1322 AH / September 1904 AD: An agreement was concluded between France and Spain to give security in Tangier to a joint Franco-Spanish force.
