Important events on the ninth of Jumada I

It happened on the ninth of Jumada I:

 

  1. In 741 AH / October 1340 AD, the Battle of Tarif took place between the Castilians and the Marinid Muslims, which resulted in the massacre of Muslims. It is considered the last battle in which the Moroccans participate officially and directly in Andalusia.
  2. Year 762 AH / March 1361 AD Death of Hassan bin Muhammad bin Qalawun One of the Bahri Mamluk sultans, It lasted in the Sultanate for 4 years.
  3. In 1003 AH / January 1595 AD, Sultan Murad III, son of Sultan Selim II, the 12th Ottoman Sultan, died and continued in the Sultanate for 21 years.
  4. In 1373 AH / January 1954 AD, after the decision to ban the Muslim Brotherhood, the Egyptian security authorities arrested 318 members of the group.
  5. In 1375 AH / December 1955 AD, Syria requests the expulsion of the Zionist occupation state from the United Nations.
  6. In 1411 AH / November 1990 AD, the Egyptian soldier Ayman Hassan attacked a jeep and two Zionist military buses on the Egyptian-Israeli border, killing and wounding a number of Zionist military personnel in response to what was known as the First Al-Aqsa Massacre.
  7. In 1424 AH / July 2003 AD, the Zionist authorities decided to allow Jews and foreign tourists to enter the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
  8. In 1425 AH, the Israeli occupation army killed 9 Palestinians, including Nayef Abu Sharkh, commander of Fatah’s Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, during a three-day invasion of the city of Nablus in the West Bank.
