*سنة32هــ/فبراير 652م: وفاة العباس بن عبد المطلب عم النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، وقف إلى جانب النبي في بيعة العقبة، وإليه تنسب الدولة العباسية التي حكمت ما يزيد على خمسة قرون، وهو والد الصحابي الجليل عبد الله بن العباس.
*سنة479هـ/أكتوبر 1086م: المرابطون بقيادة الأمير يوسف بن تاشفين وبمشاركة الأندلسيين ينتصرون على النصارى الأسبان بقيادة ألفونس السادس في موقعة “الزَّلاَّقة“ويحطمون قواته، وكانت المعركة سببًا في استمرار الوجود الإسلامي بالأندلس قرنين ونصف القرن من الزمان.
*سنة1337هـ/إبريل 1919م: البريطانيون يرتكبون مجزرة أمريستار في الهند التي سقط خلالها أربعمائة قتيل مدني غير مسلح، مما دفع الزعيم “غاندي” إلى مطالبة الهنود بمقاطعة البضائع الإنجليزية.
*سنة1367هـ/مايو1948م مجلس الأمن يصدر قراراً بوقف إطلاق النار في فلسطين وتعيين الكونت فولك برنادوت وسيطًا.
*سنة1377هـ/فبراير1958م مصر وسوريا توقعان على ميثاق الوحدة العربية بين البلدين تحت اسم الجمهورية العربية المتحدة.
تابع أحداث حدثت في الثاني عشر من رجب:
*سنة1389هـ/سبتمبر1969م تأسيس منظمة المؤتمر الإسلامي، والتي تضم في عضويتها 57دولة وهي دول ذات أغلبية مسلمة بين سكانها.
*سنة1409هـ/فبراير1989م مجاهدون تابعون لكتائب القسام يأسرون أدجنود جيش الاحتلال الصهيوني واسمه “آفي سابورتس” ثم اضطروا لقتله، وقد عثر جيش الاحتلال على جثته بعد 3 شهور.
*سنة1422هــ/سبتمبر 2000م: اندلاع الانتفاضة الفلسطينية الثانية إثر قيام إريل شارون وكان حينها رئيس حزب الليكود بزيارة استفزازية للمسجد الأقصى؛ الأمر الذي أثار حمية الفلسطينيين فهبوا يدافعون عن الأقصى، ومن حينها اشتعلت انتفاضة قوية سميت بانتفاضة الأقصى، واستشهد خلالها نحو 3640 فلسطينيًّا، ودمر 62 ألف منزل، وشرد آلاف الأسر.

* Year 1367 AH / May 1948 AD The Security Council issues a resolution on a ceasefire in Palestine and the appointment of Count Folke Bernadotte as mediator.
* In 1377 AH / February 1958 AD, Egypt and Syria sign the Charter of Arab Unity between the two countries under the name of the United Arab Republic.
